Have attended Bank View for breakfast on many occasions as a small group of motorcyclists which says a lot in itself. However, we visited yesterday and were sadly disappointed with the food. 3 of us had the big breakfast and it was poor. The sausages had been cooked to within an in of their life and were burnt and chewy. The eggs were overcooked/crispy and the bacon was tough. The breakfasts were definitely not worth £15 each (even if they had been cooked properly and not frazzled). I really hope that experience was a one off, but we will probably be giving Bank View a wide berth for the foreseeable. Sorry, don’t like giving poor reviews but appropriate in this case.☹️

Lovely coffee and excellent home made parkin. There was a great choice of other home made cakes. Very friendly and efficient service. Close to the large car park that is a good start point for walks around the reservoir.

We came here because our planned venue was shut, and how pleased we were. The staff were welcoming. We had lunch and I had that day's special, which I hoovered up. My friend is vegetarian and she was easily catered for. Very clean and has lots of walkers call in. There are facilities for young children,such as high chairs. The food is reasonably priced, and even has well stocked book shelves! Would definitely recommend, and we will be back.

Really great find on the way to Glossop. We waited for opening at 9am. Staff friendly and lovely atmosphere. Yummy pancakes and coffee. Vegan options available and oat milk alternative. Bought som local honey and cakes to take back for the family. Car park and nice outside seating area for warmer months. Beautiful scenery too!

I popped in here after a walk around the area and had pie, chips & mushy peas, a Langsett Cake (can't remember the exact name) and a pot of tea. Fairly large portions of them all. The cake was delicious, as was the homemade steak pie & chips. Pricing was more than reasonable and I'd definitely pop in again when I'm up that way on again.

Had a gorgeous brunch with the Dambuster and the Vegan breakfast. Ridiculously good value, cannot believe the portion size and quality for this price, hot drink included! great vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Lovely staff and super cozy atmosphere. Local artists paintings and woodworking tidbtis scattered around for sale.
