Siam Smile Asian Street food cafe

Welcoming authentic Thai restaurant . We were lucky to fall on this amazing local gem . All the food is lovingly prepared from scratch with a street vibe . Traditional Thai wooden tables and chairs and eclectic ornaments. My husband said it was the best Green Thai curry he’d ever eaten with just the right balance of aromatic spice and heat . I had the Pad Thai which came with the chillies and crushed peanuts to the side . Perfect for me as I’m a chilli and heat wimp. Joy stopped to enthusiastically chat about Thai and other cuisines . A rare gem of a restaurant that genuinely wants to serve great street style food . My advice is to book so you won’t be disappointed. .

Found an absolute gem!!! From the outside it doesn’t look anything special, but when you walk in, it’s got a beautiful Thai feel … the quality of the handcrafted (heavy, solid)) wooden tables and chairs.. the decor, flowers, Buddhas.. it FEELS authentic! A lovely experience, topped only by the quality of the food - YUMMY! We tried between us 4 starters and 4 Main’s (group of 3 adults & 1 child) the quality of every dish was perfect! Full of flavour! Served nice and hot! Our server Claudio was extremely friendly - went above and beyond on everything. We also tried the bubble tea from the bubble tea shop next door (linked business I think?!) we will definitely be coming back here again :) and HIGHLY recommend!! I haven’t been to such a wonderful Thai restaurant in a long time. Delicious! Full bellies all around :) thank you Claudio :)

I had a delicious meal with service above and beyond! I called up for a delivery late (they were already closing the kitchen) but made my meal regardless and it was delicious! I highly recommend, thanks you again 💯

OMG that was so amazing. Brilliant service, brilliant food and amazing presentation. The lady looking after us was so nice and was talking to us about other things to do in the area. We are from Western Australia and this place has produced the BEST THAI FOOD we have ever had. Thank you so much and a big well done to their new chef.

Out of all the places I have visited, this is probably the worst experience I have ever had. We knew that the place wasn't cheap from the beginning - £5 for a small bowl of rice is a laughable and between £12-15 for a curry and your looking at around £20 for a main. We were prepared to pay these prices but the food itself and portion size was disappointing. We ordered the spare ribs, plain noodles, panang chicken, beef massaman along with jasmine rice. The ribs were OK but nothing special. The panang chicken lacked flavour, the rice was hard (felt like it could have been yesterday's rice) and the carrots used in the beef massaman tasted as if they had gone off. We brought this up with the owner who had a word with the cook who said that there was nothing wrong with the carrots. In the most places I have been to, they would have apologised and offered a replacement dish but not here. My wife went on and ate the food bar the carrots. When the bill came, we brought up the fact that we were not happy with the massaman and ended up having an argument with the owner. At the end of the day, they deducted £6 off the bill (the curry was charged for at £15). Would not go back again - the food here is very average. Our favourite Thai (Ting Tong Thai) is 100 times better - both food and service.

There is a car park more a less opposite the Antrobus Hotel where the Siam Smile is located but beware as even disabled drivers have to pay in this car park. The Siam Smile restaurant has a lovely view of the gardens at the hotel and the room is nice and airy even in this hot weather. The restaurant now does a buffet Monday & Wednesday but you can still have the a la carte on the buffet evenings. There is also live music on the first Monday or Wednesday of the month but check with the hotel for details. I decided to go for the buffet option although my wife went for the a la carte option and I decided to go for the mixed starters which were all very good but I really enjoyed the chicken satay with its lovely thick sauce so had an additional portion of those - at no extra cost on the buffet deal. For my mains I had a red chicken curry which had just the right amount of heat for me and came with excellent jasmine rice. The service was excellent and didnt complain when we changed our minds - a number of times - and we look forward to returning soon.

A very nice dining room and tasty food. The prices were quite reasonable and the staff were efficient and polite. The only thing that let down this venue for me was the slightly shabby toilet.

Siam Smile is a Jewel in the Crown of Amesbury, you will find it inside the Antrobus Arms Hotel, Siam Smile is run by Joy, who is a Joy, she makes you feel VERY welcome,and is on-hand to advise on the Menu, the night we visited there was also a Buffet Menu, which was splendid value, and it is all cooked fresh, nothing being kept warm and dried out in Pans. The food was just divine, and they adjusted the spicing to our taste. They had a good selection of Thai beers. In the summer there is space to sit outside in the lovely Gardens. Siam Smile is a must if you are down to visit Stonehenge. The Antobus Arms Hotel is famous for hosting the Beatles, and there is a homage to them in the Reception area.
