La La Eat

I'm the first to compliment a business and the last to complain but sadly, after being previously very impressed with this restaurant, yesterday we had really disappointing meals. Such a shame as we'd ordered for a special occasion with a friend who isn't local but had heard us sing the praises of La La Eats. The house special curry was nice however they said the chips were quite apparently dry, old and reheated. It felt like they were from the previous days service. I'd ordered the house special egg fried rice "with sauce" - this was important as my swallowing disorder means I struggle to eat but I'd just wanted to join in with the celebrations like everyone else. I was unable to eat my meal as the sauce amounted to 1½tablespoons for the entire rice dish. I tried adding soy sauce but the rice was so dry (felt like old rice rather than fresh egg fried rice) I was unable to eat it.It's so disheartening when the majority of your order doesn't meet expectations. I hate leaving poor reviews, especially when we've enjoyed meals here in previous years, and would have considered giving it another chance but I can't justify spending that money again (we don't have take aways normally and this was supposed to be a special treat) and risking another disappointment. I hope the restaurant see this as customer feedback rather than a slating review as I did give 5 stars for the lovely staff- who are always exceptionally polite- and the restaurant itself which is always sparkling clean.

The chips in here are always awful, very dry and looks like they have been cooked few times. We had a portion yesterday however we couldn't eat it, quite sad as this was our go to place when getting a Chinese.

Just had the best bit of Chinese food iv had in a long time was very good!

First & last time having food here, it’s disgusting. Special curry with no beef, flavour & “king prawns”smaller than the size of my finger nail. Salt & chilli chips were over cooked. No flavour & 2 chillis in the whole box. The crispy shredded chicken was also sour with a weird after taste! AVOID

The food is lovely, one of the best Chinese we have had, nice and hot and very flavorful. But, only reason it's not 5 stars is because every time we call to order, the phone is busy, and will be busy for a good 20 mins to 30 mins, Calling constantly over and over to get through which is very frustrating. So in the end we have to drive over to order and collect which isn't ideal with a baby at home. Hopefully it won't be like that forever as it's getting a little annoying now.

Ordered a Mushroom foo young along with lots of other dishes (came to £70+). Sadly the mushroom foo young turned out to be chicken!! Im vegetarian, so i wasnt too impressed. Tried to ring, but no answer. We won't be returning.

Lovely friendly service. Hot and tasty food. What more can You ask for.

Food is okay but trying to contact them is impossible. From one extreme to the other, the phone used to just ring out if you managed to get through and now it rings 3 times and tells you "your call cant be taken and you cant leave a message, and to phone back". After waiting you try again to hear the exact same thing. Gave up in the end as completely pointless.
