Fairlawn House

We stayed in room 8 and it was fantastic. The room was so cute and had everything we needed. The rain faucet head was a great touch. The town was darling and close to tourist attractions like Stonehenge, Old Sarum, and the Salisbury Cathedral. The hotel has a cellar that provides breakfast and catering for special events. I definitely recommend staying at Fair Lawn.

If you're looking to stay at Fairlawn House... book your room. I came across Fairlawn House when I was looking for wedding venues in and around Amesbury. I first visited when Jo, the owner, who was hosting Sunday lunches in The Cellar restuarant. Not only was it absolutely delicious, I remember meeting such a kind and enthisastic person, who not only was super busy, she gave us a tour of the whole house. I knew then and there, Fairlawn House was to be one of the main family hotels over my wedding weekend in September. From easy booking, room delagations (as well as room changeovers) to amazing food, Jo and her team went above and beyond. Jo took the time to call me and check how she could help orchestrate my wedding weekend, from moving guests around, room switch overs, ensuring Bridesmaids had breakfast and planning dinners. On the Friday night, rehearsal evening, before the big day, Jo and her team had kindly hosted my close friends and family and had laid out the most incredible buffet. From a lovely selection on wines and fizz, we also had a beautiful display of cold meats, cheeses, tarts and more. We were spoilt. I wish I took a photo of it. Or any photos! In brief, we were disappointed of our stay in this house which we expected (from other advises and their web site) to be a warm B&B . In fact, all seems managed by a PC (code for the keys, instruction for car park by Whats App and bill received by mail,...). |Poor breakfast. |Otherwise, lovely and quiet house.

We booked the whole hotel for a reunion, including a private dinner and used the front room for drinks. Approx 20 guests. It worked brilliantly. Flexible and supportive booking and checking in process. Planning the menu with Chris the chef was great and the food was delicious. |We were able to organise a bespoke prepaid drinks bar including cocktails which worked really well. |Those staying had a very comfortable room and a great stay.

A well situated place to stay. On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly face who explained where our room was easily found. Unfortunately, there were no USB ports in the room, so we were unable to charge our phones.

I was lucky enough to win a two night stay here which was amazing but despite that I will always give an honest review. I will 100% recommend this place for anyone staying in the area. Less than 10 mins to Stonehenge, 20 mins from Salisbury town and 40 mins from Longleat safari park and it is situated in the cutest little village. We got the warmest welcome when we arrived and were given room 15 which was right at the top of the building. It had a huge comfy bed with lovely pillows and duvet, a table and chairs, plenty of storage, tv and tea and coffee making facilities. It was clean and had everything we needed including lovely extras such as an air con unit. My 6ft fiance had to duck under the door frames and some beams but is expected in an older house. Was nice to have a bath and shower options and both were lovely and warm. My fiance couldn't fit in the shower due to being 6ft again but he prefers a bath anyway. We slept like babies. We went downstairs to the cellar for a lovely breakfast. Lovely warm greeting, tea and coffee available long with a choice of juice, oats, fruit, yoghurts, honey, Nutella, bread for toast, warm crossaints and pain au chocolates and also the choice of cooked breakfast. First morning I had smash avo and scrambled eggs on toast and the second I had a mini fry up both were cooked beautifully! The only thing It was missing was sausages!. |They offer hen do packages where you can stay there and also use the cellar as a party/games room which would be super cute for a more chilled out hen party. |We visited piazza Italian whilst we were there which is a short walk. They do stunning food along with a cute little bakery called Reeve's which did the most amazing selection of sandwiches and cakes and lovely coffee. |If we ever need to stay in Wiltshire again we will definitely be staying here! Spent a lovely night staying at A Little Place. The service is incredible, Jo the owner is so friendly and helpful. The touch points are all so thoughtful. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and I loved all the period features. It's the perfect base to explore Stonehenge and the surrounding areas! 10/10 recommend :) thanks for having us!

Cute and pleasant place with a wonderful staff. Our room was clean and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was a nice with hot water plentiful (first thing in the morning it took a bit of time to arrive). The breakfast was from 8-10 Saturday morning and there was a variety of continental style options plus eggs, bacon, and toast offered. The dining room was pleasant and pretty. All in all, a very tastefully done place with friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The town is cute and there are multiple pubs close by.
