A Date With Thyme

Had a wonderful light lunch here to break a long drive (there is a reasonably-priced public car park around the corner). The staff were friendly and chatty and food was delicious, they put a lot of care into everything they did and created a lovely atmosphere. I had hash browns with mushrooms and my daughter had French toast - it was her first one and they cooked it perfectly (I had to try it, of course!). There are a couple of fun shops nearby if you want a walk before getting back on with your journey. I don't regularly drive through this part of the country, but when I next do, I will be diverting to break my journey here in future.

I had the best English breakfast of my life at A Date with Thym. Everything was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The quality is outstanding, and the value for money is excellent. It’s a place I can wholeheartedly recommend — if I could, I would give it ten stars!

Visited today with friends and our dogs. We were made very welcome, great coffee and delicious cakes. Very comfortable seating. Dogs were given a water bowl and offered a treat. Fantastic local, friendly cafe, will definitely be visiting again.

I had a wonderful brunch at A Date With Thyme in Amesbury yesterday. They’ve just been reopened by the lovely Mariia (previously the manager at Côte). Delicious food and the warmest welcome. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

What a lush place We went for high tea and it was all so yummy, hot and freshly cooked. the staff couldn't do enough to help, nothing was too much trouble, They made my 3 year old so welcome and gave her some little extras. very accommodating, great food, will deffo be back again! I find it hard to find somewhere that's so welcoming and accepting of young children so the toys and book corner was a welcome sight. Also love that little doggies can come in, just makes it feel really welcoming and warm. I know I'll be back.

Lovely cafe with home made delicious breakfast and brunch

Well, love this jewel of a place! It’s just off A303 so perfect stop off near Stonehenge. Reviews were spot on, Maria cooks breakfasts from scratch and offers gluten free and dairy free options, incl lovely GF cake. Car park just behind 30p an hour. We go to Bath regularly from London on the A303/A36 so will def factor this in on our journeys in future.

This is a gem of a find, just 2 mins drive from the A303. Lovely selection of homemade cakes and scones, big pot of tea. Service was amazing, so personable and friendly. Kids got a free chocolate bar for the rest of the road trip home. Not just dog friendly but dog welcoming with treats, fusses and introductions to the rest of the team. We parked at the nearby public parking, 30p for 60 mins and just a 1 min walk to this cafe. This will become a regular stop on our drives along the A303
