As a local parent, I cannot recommend The Stable enough! It is such a welcoming and family friendly venue. The staff are always accommodating, there’s room for prams and a life, making the space accessible with little ones in tow. The play area is a great addition and keeps the children entertained while still feeling safe and it’s great it’s tucked away from the main cafe area so other diners can enjoy a quieter experience. The food is home cooked and so affordable.

Over the last 5 years this has been my go to place that ticks all the boxes - I have 2 young children so to be able to have a hot drink, delicious homemade food at a very reasonable price in the comfort and environment that is completely catered for children has been a god send. Would highly recommend!

We sadly don't visit The Stable much now, but were regulars when we lived in Newmarket. It was such a wonderful, welcoming space, particularly when my son was born. Play groups and support groups are held here and they have a little play area. It is lovely to mix with all the regulars of different ages. The staff are delightful and we miss seeing them. The food is great too!

Once again meal here absolutely delicious. Lamb shank. Served with a smile and plenty of it. One o'clock and the place was buzzing with children in their play area and people eating hearty meals. Many thanks to all the staff who so obviously work well together as a team. Visited again today just for coffee, same good atmosphere friendly service and frequented by many customers

Great quality meals or have a coffee and cake. Great community cafe with lovely voluntary staff. Well supervised and clean. Separate play area for children in another bright room. All in all a good place to meet friends and have a substantial meal at a good price.
