Hampton Bays used to have a great beach town atmosphere with the highlights being The Drift Inn, Neptune's and of course the Boardy Barn. Sadly they're all gone and all that is left is generations of memories. I'm happy that someone bought the Boardy Barn and turned it into the Barnyard. Tony and Mickey donated a lot to the community (without the need for publicity) and it's great to see their legacy didn't get torn down. It would have been a scar on the town if "The World Famous Boardy Barn" was turned into a strip mall or worse condominiums full of people with a lot of opinions but not a lot of understanding or appreciation for the history of Hampton Bays. The Boardy Barn was around for almost 50 years and the Barnyard can't replace that much history overnight but I'm confident as the summers pass by and new memories get made the Barnyard will slowly start to fill the legacy that came before it. I know anyone who ever had a Sunday Funday at the Barn is happy to see the Barnyard in its place. -THC-

They asked for $30 to get in. We had a good laugh and ended up going somewhere else. Perhaps they should extend their hours and be open 12-8 instead of trying to overcharge the customers.

This establishment is a disruption to our town and right to the Covenant of Quiet enjoyment and will be dealt with a accordingly. We have rights in the Community we live in and ANYONE who would even open a facility like this is selfish and greedy and only thinking about HIMSELF and getting richer by the ignorance of others .....It's sad 😢 but what comes around goes around. We will videotape and document the level of noise ourselves and submit it to Chief of Police of Southampton Town as well as Code Enforcement and the Attorney General of NY. We may also have it brought to attention of Long Island News 12. Put up soundproofing at least. Thank you!!

As I sit here writing this, the music cut off and they’re struggling to put it back on. It’s been at least ten minutes without music. Also the cover went from $20 to $30. Make it make sense when you don’t even give out stickers anymore and the beer went up in price.

My wife and I enjoyed the Bawdy Barn in its hey day. The kids are going there for the first time this week but we are not. $30 cover is unreasonable.

Opening day was typical. Let’s see how it goes after Memorial Day. Disappointed all the photos and memorabilia are gone. There were a few familiar faces, but definitely miss the old staff.
