JOE & THE JUICE

This was my first and likely last visit to your store. I decided to give your franchise a try based on several recommendations, but my experience was deeply disappointing. I ordered a simple juice and waited over 18 minutes without any update. When I politely asked for an update, the staff member responded bluntly that it was “being made,” which was frustrating enough given the delay. Shortly after, the person preparing the juice dropped part of the juicer and had to start over. By the time my order was finally ready, nearly 28 minutes had passed. The juice was then slammed onto the counter with no apology or acknowledgment, only an aggressive stare. This experience reflected serious issues with management, training, and store culture. The overall atmosphere felt careless and disrespectful. I left feeling frustrated at having wasted both time and money (£9 for an average juice) and, more importantly, at the complete lack of basic customer courtesy. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address the evident service and management problems at this location.

I had a worse experience in this store today! I ordered a spicy tuna and feel good juice. I waited 15 minutes before someone approached me and told me my payment didn't go through, then I checked my account and it had been paid. Then they started to make my order; why didn't they ask from the start? Wasting my time. When I finally started to eat my spicy tuna, I found some ham. I don't eat pork, so this is a big no-no, and I am shocked that this kind of cross-contamination happens. It's simply not okay! I threw my sandwich out and I will never go there again!

This is the second time I’ve had to leave a disappointing review for this place. I ordered an açaí bowl to have in, but it arrived completely frozen. I either needed a hammer to break it apart or would have had to wait an hour for it to thaw. I’d strongly recommend that the management consider hiring staff who can deliver the level of service and attention to detail that customers expect in this area.

Who hired staff at this chain? Extremely poor service. I genuinely question who is responsible for hiring and training the staff. On 27 July, the customer service was appalling , completely inattentive and unprofessional. The environment was chaotic, with excessively loud Afrobeat music blasting through the store, creating an unpleasant and unwelcoming atmosphere. The four female staff members were not in uniform and were dressed in a way that felt entirely unprofessional, with visible underwear through thin jogging bottoms. They were laughing and shouting at one another, paying no attention to the customers waiting to be served. It gave off a trashy vibe rather than the polished experience you would expect from an established chain. The overall experience was disappointing from start to finish. This branch urgently needs a full review of its standards, staff conduct, and customer care. I will not be returning.

Got an order from here, delivered by Deliveroo. Efficient, timely delivery. Ordered three sandwiches and two juices - all arrived fully intact. The sandwiches were all tasty; we got Serrano ham, club and tuna fish. The juices were pretty simple, just pressed juices, apple and carrot and ginger. Decent value overall. I’d order from these guys again but I think would just stick to the sandwiches.

terrible. Ordered a breakfast bowl and it literally came frozen. The bananas were mouldy and i saw the staff in this branch being very un hygienic. Have got too big, worst customer experience i have ever had when eating in london. Joe you should be ashamed.

I am a regular customer of Joe & The Juice, but my recent experience at the Islington branch on Upper Street. London was unacceptable. The staff exhibited unprofessional behavior, which likely contributed to the emptiness of the place. There was loud screaming and shouting among the four female staff members, creating a chaotic atmosphere. When I asked for a table to be cleaned—there was food all over it—my request was ignored. Additionally, the sandwich I received was not only unappetizing but also served cold and straight from the fridge, without even being toasted. The woman who served me was rude and dismissive. It’s clear that the management at this branch needs to prioritize customer service training to stop them shouting and screaming as if it a party and not cafe where they work .

The food tastes good, but the overall experience is ruined by the poor cleanliness of the store. There were large flies buzzing around while I was trying to eat, which was really off-putting. The chairs and couches were covered in crumbs, the tables were sticky, and the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. It felt like no one was maintaining the space, and honestly, it made me lose my appetite. Disappointing environment for a place that serves food.
