Happy Chippy

What a waste of money. Chips were slightly above average. Fish was okay but was coated in a tasteless batter. The two pizzas were the definition of a disgrace 🤣 Both were burnt on more than half of their circumference. Classic sloppy chippy pizzas with the cheese melted on top of the toppings rather than the toppings added on top of the cheese and base. If you bite into donner meat and it crunches like a poppadom, theres something clearly wrong. So dry. Genuinely surprised that somebody bagged the pizzas up and thought "Aye they're brilliant, that will represent our business's culinary skills to the best standard possible." Definitely wont be back to a relatively new place that we thought we would try and support as it finds its feet. Based on tonights muck, those feet shant be found any time soon 🙃

So hubby goes in gets fish supper ( batter burnt and fish dried out. Chips half cook and pale). Single white pudding ( over cooked on the outside and mush on inside). Single half pizza ( was ok but cold). Single black pudding ( over cooked on outside and mush on inside. Never tasted such an awful chippy. Family was very disappointed as its a new chippy. Certainly is the worst one we have had in west lothian. Definitely won't be back. Shame

We had fish, fish and chips and chicken nuggets. We really enjoyed their preparation on their opening day. All the best wishes for the new team.

First time here. Fish was very tasty with a light crispy batter, chips were just right not too greasy. Sausage was reported as nice again with a crispy batter. Service was quick and server polite however I was picking up on so.e tension between the staff. Would definitely buy there again though.

Waited almost an hour for delivery, ordered a large chip roll with salt & sauce and received half of a squashed burger bun with no sauce.

Happy Chippy is a solid local spot! Ordered the Fish Supper, Fried Chicken Burger, and Meat Feast Pizza — all were freshly made and tasted great. The fish was crispy, the burger juicy, and the pizza loaded with toppings. Staff were really friendly, the place was clean and quiet, and prices were very reasonable. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Tried this chippy for the first today time since their recent opening and 10/10! Asked for a king rib supper and the king rib to be thin & crispy because most chippys make them with far too much batter. The chef got it down to a tee. Not had a chippy this great in so long. Definitely will come back!

Tried it for first time recently and was really impressed. Everything is cooked fresh, the batter on the fish was crispy, not soggy like so many other places and the mince pie was delicious!
