Stunning venue for a wedding and wedding reception. The groomsman area and the bridal suite area are unbelievable. All the high end touches from the wood accents, ceiling, art, light fixtures to the huge stage…it’s a dream location for any hard to please couple. The location is tucked away just a few miles from all the bourbon distilleries. The lake and surrounding houses for rent are redone to the historic nature of the Dant Family Legacy. Just waiting for one of my daughters to get engaged and I’ll be ready. A hidden gem for any big occasion or event.

We had our daughter's wedding and rehearsal dinner at The Legacy at Logstill on Oct. 11 and 12th. It couldn't have been more perfect! Everything from the staff to the food and bar was wonderful! The venue itself is beautiful-and complete with a chapel, bride's dressing room and lounge and groom's lounge. The luxury of having everything in one place is ideal. The property has several airbnb's that make it very convenient and the houses are beautiful! The Mansion is located within steps of the venue. Weeks after the wedding, our family and friends are still talking about how nice the wedding and reception were and how they enjoyed Logstill as a whole. If you are considering having your wedding or event here, do not hesitate. It was a decision well made and I highly recommend it! Special thanks to Shae and Carla and the rest of the staff. They were phenomenal! Dana Whitis

What can I say, we felt at home the moment we arrived! Let’s back up to our first distillery tour. I told my husband that we should rent this place for our wedding. He was skeptical but went along with it. It was mere moments after we stepped thru the doors and saw the SOARING breezeway that he really started to consider it. Still unconvinced, we continued our tour. We walked into the main event space with massive windows and a beautiful stage and began meeting the staff. We were sold. Tara, Dana, Jacob & Kayla were phenomenal. They listened to our requests and instantly made this not feel like a business transaction and more like a family event. Every single time since then, we have only felt welcomed. This place is incredible for a multitude of reasons, but the staff sold it for us. All of them are completely incredible and they make you just feel so loved. This is been the most unstressful situation for us. Keep in mind I am writing this review BEFORE our wedding. So there will be an “after the wedding post”.

TL;DR: Shea and staff are great and wonderful, but the F&B policy not so much. We had a special experience in having the first Indian wedding ceremony at this venue. Shea and Scarlet were very nice and accommodating, such as allowing for the Agni. We also appreciate Scarlet finding a way to have Henna tables so the floor would not be damaged. We really appreciate Shea's patience and correspondence throughout the planning process. We were very relieved in how hospitable the staff were to a culture/community they otherwise do not interact with; some even took pics of the bride/groom and we were flattered by it. Legacy put up a lot with us, from the very long two days of ceremonies to making a special exception in allowing us to have an outside caterer for Indian food. Shea took special care to make sure a lengthy wedding planning document was followed, which we appreciate. The place was beautiful; many guests complimented the drive to the venue. We would book here again if we could revisit the following: the food and beverage minimum was not adjusted after accounting for a caterer (even though previous emails said we could discuss it), so we wasted a lot of money (in the thousands) for food/beverage just to meet the minimum. This could better be negotiated. There were some smaller things like the main wedding cake did not get some of the predetermined tables for special guests, but that's not a big deal.

What Wally Dant has done with the entire Log Still property is amazing, and the Legacy is beautiful. Every staff person was very accommodating, and bent over backwards for us. The food was incredible, and the decor fits the vibe of the area.

When my daughter’s boyfriend asked my husband and I if he could marry our daughter, we reached out to The Legacy to start looking for a wedding venue. Once we took that tour, our search was over. The place is just a one of a kind gem hidden just a short drive from Bardstown the Bourbon Capital of the World in the gorgeous Gethsemane area. I’m not even sure where to start but let’s talk about the venue itself. The outside is beautiful when you walk through those doors and see the breezeway area, you just have to stop and take it all in. It’s a long area perfect for cocktail hour. It has amazing high wooden beams, barrel walls and just attention to detail everywhere you look. To the right is the phenomenal chapel with its custom pearl white and gold chairs lining the aisle which leads to a wooden wall on the stage for bride and groom. The place is so beautiful that you truly don’t need decorations or flowers because it doesn’t need it. Outside the chapel on each side are the brides room and grooms room. Both are spectacular. The grooms room is decorated with beautiful leather couches and wooden accents like a bar. Very rich and manly. But let me say the brides room is my favorite. It has the most beautiful getting ready area with mirrors and lighting and couches and just the most gorgeous place for pictures. The reception area is large and we had plenty of room for 230ish guests. The night was perfect so people were able to walk outside onto the patio after dinner. Oh, and dinner- wow. The chef is amazing. When we had our tasting, we could not decide what to choose because it was all absolutely delicious. Cocktail appetizers and the actual meal left our guests talking for days. Our out of town guests were blown away by this place. The bartenders were fabulous and we also could not narrow down the signature drinks so we had 4. I could go on and on and not say one negative thing. I would not change a thing about our weekend and I’m so grateful to the amazing staff including Shea, Carla, Scarlett and Chef. Thank you so much. Everything was perfect!
