So friendly and hospitable- and lovely atmosphere - lovely Riverside town centre location and within a beautifully restored Mill. Superb fresh coffee and high quality food. Cannot recommend it highly enough- shares ground floor with a lovely gift shop selling a wide range of quality items - cafe accessed by walking through the shop. Lovely too that wall decor includes boards with comprehensive history of the mill and town.

Popped in for a quick coffee, carrot cake and fizz (for the wife). Place was set away from the main strip so not as busy with lots of indoor seating. Was served quickly and staff were friendly. There was a gift shop attached to the cafe which had some traditional as well as quirky gifts so worth a visit.

Visited for lunch today with my friend and family. Having told them how nice it was, I was seriously disappointed. The menu comprised of fried food. No salad, no sandwiches and unappetising looking cakes. The girls serving were nice and friendly but awfully slow. We ordered from the menu anyway. It took over 30 minutes for the food to come. It was served on takeaway plates and was poor. A dried out piece of chicken in the chicken burger, nachos with cheese not melted, cheap fried chips. Yet the price, well it was very expensive. £17 for the substandard chicken burger and chips. We’ll definitely not be going again.

Pensioner paradise, food and coffee doesn't stand up next to all the other excellent options in Hebden Bridge. Every time we've tried this place we've been told there's a new chef and the menu is limited. When we do get what we ordered, it's disappointing. This place is great for the over 60s crowd and it's great that there's somewhere that caters to them. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with an almost empty restaurant where besides you and the staff, everyone is at least 40 years older. I just think it's a huge missed opportunity to not serve top notch food and really good coffee in such a big iconic building. With a bit of a restyle/refresh, some really great menu items, and trained barista on a half decent coffee machine, you could be filling those prime rivsr side seats.

Really great visit today, weather awesome so able to sit outside. Coffee very good, cakes really outstanding, perfect mid-ride boost. Weather meant the centre of Hebden Bridge was like the South of France - everyone enjoying themselves outside making for a special atmosphere. Highly recommended!

When visiting Hebden Bridge be sure to visit the Innovation cafe accessed through the gift shop. There you will find a working water wheel and we had our lunch sitting on top of an Archimedes Screw using the power of the small river to generate electricity.

A friendly cafe with seating indoors and out and a restored waterwheel. Which is a first for me, but fascinated everyone who came to have a look. It makes the cafe very unique, with lots of information on the history of Hebden Bridge all over the walls. There is a gift shop attached, which sells various locally produced products at different price points. Was fascinated by the old camera lamps which I loved. They did sandwiches, jacket potatoes, soup, cakes and drinks with a gluten free option on the cakes. I decided to go for the courgette and lime cake with a tea, which looked amazing. The cake was really nice and filling and tasted lovely of lime. Had a pot of tea and was also given a pot of water, so got several cups out of it. The drinks and cakes were very reasonably priced and you could tell that my cake was homemade.

How bizarre, the only cafe in the Uk that I have ever been to and you can’t even get a breakfast. You can’t even get poached egg with mushrooms or bacon. I think you will be losing trade.
