I had the worst experience at this restaurant. The service was absolutely horrible, you could tell the hostess hates her job. The restaurant was empty and we sat at a table and she took 10 minutes to go up to us with water and silverware. No smile or friendly demeanor. I asked her for a couronne (I’m Haitian American) and she laughed at my pronunciation of the soda and walked away. Throughout our meal not once did she come up to ask us if she can get us anything or how is everything. When I would call on her for anything she seemed bothered by us asking for napkins & drinks. My food was decent. I got the griot platter and my friend got the Tasso platter. My friend didn’t enjoy her food and said the goat had an odor, she mentioned it to the hostess who ignored her and asked her to checkout. Would not recommend at all….. at least for dine in.

I really wanted to like this place 😓 it’s a beautiful and clean location in Sunrise, and I was excited to support a fellow Haitian business. I came across it on Google Maps and decided to give it a shot for the first time today , I ordered the Boulet (meatballs) with rice and beans, and added a side of macaroni. The total came out to almost $29 w/ tax. $21 for the main plate and $6 for the mac. For that price, I expected authentic, flavorful Haitian food. Unfortunately , it missed the mark. The meat, rice, and beans had no epis or real seasoning.. everything tasted very bland. What really threw me off was the macaroni. It tasted like it was just heated up from the store… not homemade at all. No depth, no baked flavor, and definitely not what I’d expect from a Haitian kitchen. It honestly saddens me to leave this kind of review, especially for one of our own, but I hope this feedback encourages the owners to reevaluate the food. The location has real potential! It just needs a serious upgrade in the kitchen. Wishing them the best and hoping for better in the future.

The atmosphere is great the services is good. The food is delicious, but the price is just not worth the proportion. There is barely rise in the box, but there is plenty of bean sauce and plenty of whatever meat you choose to order. I did say I won’t no plantains and no salad but that say if a wanted extra rice I had to pay for it.

Ordered takeout. Food was flavorless and overpriced. $22 for griot! I do not recommend this place. The griot was rubbery and bland. Rice not enough salt or oil. Dry. Plantains terrible colorless, raw and flavorless too.

The beet salad on Sunday was excellent! The food portion is super appreciated so that you don’t overeat, just enough. Great customer service and food is consistently good.

I was craving boulette all week and I remembered this restaurant from a while ago when I had it so I called up and placed an order with diri kole. I wish I had taken a picture of the rice because I threw it away, this was the nastiest haitian rice I have ever tasted from a restaurant. It honestly had no taste at all, no seasoning, nothing. It tasted like water, no lie. The boulette was also a disappointment, no taste at all. I'm really shocked because the food from this restaurant used to be the great. Maybe they have a new cook, if so they need to be replaced asap. I paid $23 for this meal, a waste. I really hope they can get back to when they first opened, that's when the food was delicious. I'll definitely try one last time again..

A family friend recommended us this restaurant and we decided to give it a try. We could not be happier with our decision. Our sons had the Kabrit griye and Boulèt meals. My wife and I had the Grilled snapper and Grilled lanbi/conch. Oh everything was out of this world delicious and fresh! Thank you Choublak, keep making #haitiproud!!
