The Old Shed was built over six thousand years ago. Back then it was known as 'The New Cave' as sheds hadn't been invented. After a relative struggle for the first few hundred years Neolithic man (and woman!) started building the nearby Rollrights Stones and most of the labour force went to The Old Shed for breakfast and lunch. The business boomed and continued to do so into the Bronze Age as the labour intensive Rollrights continued to be built. This continued until about 1,500 B.C. Gotta say that I didn't think much of the coffee but don't forget that I generally spoil myself drinking the best of the best. Nice swirly on offer though. The sausage roll was baked on the premises and was tasty in the extreme. Full breakfast and lunch menu on offer. Lots of delicious 😋 looking cakes also available. Pet friendly and, more importantly, they don't spit on Northerners. In fact I felt quite welcome. Give 'em a go if you're in the area.

After a spontaneous trip from Wallingford to see the Rollright Stones. A much needed cupa was in order. Google Map 'coffee shops local' The Old Barn' perfect. Inside space cosy and warm with outside covered space no heating. Outside space no cover, this place would be very busy peak season.

Ordered The Old Shed Breakfast, it comes with two slices of bacon, two sausages, grilled tomato and mushroom, a small cup of beans, two sunny side up fried eggs, a small hash brown, and four slices of toast (you get a choice of brown or white). To top it off, they make a great flat white.

Love this place - prices are very reasonable, food is delicious and plentiful and it is super popular with locals & visitors. As a coeliac it’s possible to find loads to eat here. Staff are friendly and efficient and service is impressively quick even at peak times (half terms etc). Great outdoor play options too. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is that the cafe’s coffee machine has been serving the coffee burnt for approx the last year. I’ll happily return and add the missing star once the machine’s settings have been fiddled with to fix the coffee (which was formerly delicious)! 😀

Great spot, family friendly, lovely crowd of all kinds of people: kids, couples, grandparents, cyclists, friends. We sat in the "main" bit, was very busy on a Sat at 2pm. There are outside tables, another marquee-type area, nice toilets, activities for kids, great service. The cake selection was impressive. I had chips, egg and ham and was deliciously fresh. Free parking outside. Although there is gravel outside, saw someone managing well with a pushchair, as well as a few pushchairs. Will definitely recommend and I will visit again ;)

We had breakfast and it’s definitely the best breakfast I’ve had. Hubby had large and I went for small. Top quality produce cooked perfectly and plenty of it. The staff work their socks off and are friendly and helpful. Even though it was very busy we were served quickly. The cakes looked amazing too but unfortunately we were too full to take advantage this time. Don’t pass this cafe by if you’re in the area or staying on the site!
