Fantastic place for food! 10oz Sirloin steak was 10/10, staff are very friendly and helpful. Very professional, presentable modern restaurant. Very welcoming. Would 100% return again

I was disappointed with my visit here. The place itself looks very modern, clean, and stylish, but unfortunately the food and service didn’t live up to the image. The food was overpriced for what it was. I ordered the chicken burger (my partner had the beef burger), and both were very underwhelming. My chicken burger was dry and tasteless, served without any sauce, pickles, or salad inside, just plain chicken in a bun. The small side salad was also poor. Considering the price and the way the restaurant presents itself, the quality of the food was really lacking. Service also fell short. My drink was spilled on the way to the table, leaving the glass and table sticky, but the waitress didn’t offer to clean it up or bring tissues. On top of that, there were several wasps constantly flying around our table (and others nearby), which made it uncomfortable to enjoy our meal. The restaurant does have wasp traps, but they clearly weren’t effective enough. I believe they have nest nearby. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. For such a nice-looking restaurant, I expected much better food, drinks, and service. Sadly, I wouldn’t return.

We dined at Arthur’s on a special Chinese night, where a set menu was offered to all guests—a detail that was communicated to us at the reception, and we were happy to proceed. The service and atmosphere were outstanding, creating a welcoming and elegant dining experience. However, the food itself fell short of expectations, resembling the quality of a standard Chinese takeaway rather than a restaurant meal. While some items, like the prawn toast and chicken soup, stood out as flavorful, many of the main courses were overly saucy and sweet, with some dishes lacking depth in flavor. A touch of spice or heat would have added much-needed balance, though I understand the intent to cater to a wide audience. Overall, the food wasn’t disappointing, but it didn’t quite rise to restaurant standards, leaning more towards the level of a takeaway.

We visited here whilst staying at a nearby cottage. We were a table of 11 and when booking we were asked to preorder, which was more than ok. All I can say is the whole meal was fantastic. The cocktails were great. The steak and ale pie was honestly the best homemade pie I have ever had. The lamb cutlets were delicious and the chicken tikka kebabs were a big hit. The deserts were crazy, such big portions and tasted amazing. The only slight issue we had was, dare I say it, too much cheese on the pizzas. But it didn't spoil the meal. If you were thinking about going here I wouldn't hesitate. Everything was made fresh and was tasty, with decent portions, what more could you ask for.

Arthur’s is second to none the atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are always friendly and helpful and if you want to experience out of this world food book there now! You will not be disappointed! Would wholly recommend all year round!!
