Can’t recommend this place enough. As someone who grew up in Barton, I wish this place had existed when I was living there. There’s good WiFi, tables for working and amazing food. There’s a lovely selection of vegan food with lovely staff and some of the best coffee I’ve had in a while. It does get a little chilly in winter but it’s worth it for the home made cakes, great atmosphere and lovely staff.

I love this café! Always a warm welcome from Courteney who makes visiting Skinny Kitten an absolute pleasure. Her home made cakes are delicious and varied plus there is always plenty to choose from for breakfast or lunch. Service is always prompt and friendly whether it's Courteney or Mollie looking after you :)

Beautiful village cafe. Impeccable service. Friendly welcoming atmosphere. I had the avocado on toast and a matcha from their new menu. Absolutely delicious so lucky to have on our doorstep.

Really lovely little cafe. Had lunch here whilst visiting a spa nearby. Lovely food and atmosphere. Lots of really different things on the menu to your run of the mill stuff and although I didn't try one the cakes looked amazing.

We recently ordered the takeaway Charcuterie boxes, and what a wonderful little cafe in Barton. The experience from ordering, through to pick up was fantastic and the communication from the team first class. Food was ready on time and it tasted delicious. Fresh and wonderfully wholesome. Anyone thinking the food from here is anything other than top class needs their heads wobbling. Thanks Skinny Kitten we will be back

Quirky, cosy cafe. Stylish and comfortable inside. Food was good, staff very friendly. Just FYI if you’re looking for a working spot; WiFi signal is a bit intermittent around the back, and you’re not allowed to plug laptops in.

A Wonderful Discovery! So, we didn't pre-book for the National Memorial Arboretum... onto Plan B and a mooch around Barton-under-Needwood. As we love cats and quirky, stylish interiors, just the name piqued our curiosity! Greeted with a very warm welcome (in COVID-19 specification PPE) we chose a table in The Snug. The Skinny Kitten Cafe offers a menu with a wide and choice, including vegetarian and vegan options. Our food was served in style and tasted as good as it looked. Have I mentioned the in-house baked cakes? The selection is truly tempting, with the final choice being the only difficult decision. I can definitely recommend the chocolate covered flapjack - the perfect treat with a cup of tea! Whether you are local or passing through, the Skinny Kitten Cafe is highly recommended. I think a minor diversion might be needed on our next road trip... see you soon!

Tried it yesterday - no other customers in - seemed to be staffed by 3 very young ladies who had plenty of time to chat to each other. Took 25 minutes to be served up with very poor quality of food. Since when does a toastie consist of two slices of toast with bacon and cheap cheese between them. The wrap was a pita rolled around chicken with a small salad. Such a shame for a space with such potential. Cakes looked nice but experience didn’t warrant staying longer to try them. Room was also cold but hey ho.
