Very lovely first visit to this homely and welcoming place. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful and provided genuine hospitality. There was a good variety of food. We had a sit down meal but I also enjoyed a takeaway pandan cheesecake; it was simply delicious! The restaurant doesn’t have a lot of tables so booking advised at busier times. It was a comfortable atmosphere and clean. The waitress was very good and attentive. Thank you so much for a lovely meal. We will definitely be back. It was easy to find parking on nearby residential roads.

A hidden gem worth discovering! I visited this restaurant recently and was genuinely blown away. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, one of the female chef kept checking on us throughout the meal, which made the whole experience extra special. We started with the Thai mango salad, which was perfect for the hot weather, refreshing, tangy, and generously portioned. The peanut goes so well with the dressing! I was so excited about the menu that I ended up ordering three different mains. One classic Nasi Goreng, a chicken curry rice with stir-fried vegetables, and Char Kway Teow. The curry sauce was packed with deep, the chicken thigh was covered in the rich sauce and rich flavour, the noodles were perfectly cooked, not greasy at all. For dessert, we couldn’t resist trying the pandan cheesecake. It was incredibly smooth, with a light sweetness in the syrup that paired beautifully with the shredded coconut. Honestly I could eat it every day.

Updated 18th July: Meals at @lisapann23 never disappoint. ❤️ They serve up authentic Malaysian food. Not aiming to overload their menu but to focus on the few dishes that encompass the essence of Malaysia flavour. However, they do rotate their menu with specials to highlight something special. Last evening's dinner was a delight as usual and with the warm welcome of Lisa and the staff. Starting off with a few starters which are Karipap, Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay and Karage Chicken piece. The Mango Yum Mamuang salad was very refreshing, fresh and full of flavour. It was sweet, tangy and has a umami with a hint of chilli heat. The Penang Hokkien Char - Stir Fried Egg noodles served with the thick soy sauce was excellent 👌🏻 (and so is the Char Kway Teow!)) The Nasi Lemak with Chicken Kari, paired with the sides of roasted peanuts, crispy salty anchovies and salad. The coconut rice is fragrant. The Chicken Kari has a nice "Oomph" of spice but not overly hot on the tastebuds. The Nasi Goreng Kampung is beautifully presented with the fried egg & runny yolk. The taste of the fried rice is equally delightful and every mouthful is a joy. The food picture i didn't post was the dessert - Pandan Cheese Cake. It was drizzled with Gula Melaka (Palm Sugar) and dessicated coconut. It was a perfect end to a lovely evening. A trip to Lisa & Pann is a treat if you wish to try out some authentic South East Asian dishes. ❤️ It's definitely a must go restaurant if you are homesick and/or miss South East Asian food. Previous entry: Lisa & Pann is a homely the restaurant that serves authentic South East Asian food. The dishes served were great and had great praises by the family.... even the take away Wat Tan Hor (which tasted excellent upon reheating!!)

I'm really sorry to say this but the authenticity of the flavours has deteriorated. We had the wat tan hor, hokkien char mee, curry laksa. All three did not meet the brief. The curry laksa was bland (even by my mat salleh husband's standards). It's fine for those who dont know any better but I was expecting more authentic flavours based on previous experience at their previous location albeit a few years ago now. What was excellent was the chef special fried chicken wings. I would stop by for that if I lived close by. The pandan cheesecake was good but the dominant flavours were the gula melaka sauce and toasted kerisik (shreded coconut). Tried the cheesecake filling on its own and I'm not sure I could detect the pandan. Sorry to the business but I will not be returning and would not recommend to fellow Malaysians.

Independent family-run restaurant with so many different options. Many of the dishes come with various condiments (sambal, chilli) and snacks (crackers, tofu) and flavours are strong. Restaurant area is clean and they provide high chairs for babies.

Cosy little restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Because I’m not familiar with the names of dishes the descriptions in the menu were helpful. Pictures would be really helpful. I’ve enjoyed the meal and the desserts and my rose tea. The prawn toast lookalikes in the image are fish cake on the menu. Good portion sizes. Freshly cooked. And presentation was really nice.

We have been here three times now, each time the menu has been slightly different, but I swear the food tastes more delicious each time we visit! I think they've changed the seasoning in the curry puffs and it's better than ever!! The satay sticks have always been a staple favourite with their charred finish and peanuty sauce. This time we had won ton hor (flat rice noodles) which such a wonderfully silky texture and rich mouthfeel. The laksa was one of the best I've had in the UK. We will definitely be coming back!!
