What an amazing little gem of a place! We cannot recommend enough. Food was just so (had two different type of stews & fried plantain), iced teas are phenomenal and the atmosphere is friendly and cozy. The lady that runs the place is the loveliest and made my day. Cannot wait to come back here when we're in the area again. Thank you !

Dog friendly cafe serving up beautiful scones and coffee! The staff were welcoming and friendly!! The Afro scone was delicious and was flavoured with warming spices!! We were a bit early for lunch, or else I would have liked to try curried goat! Maybe next time!!

Found this place by accident today and so pleased we did! Friendly and delicious. Amazing what they do with a tiny kitchen, obviously a lot of passion. Between us we had curried goat, a spicy brie toastie, chorizo and scrambled eggs and halloumi fries, everything was a 5 out of 5!

What isn't to love about this fantastic cafe. The cake and coffee I had was absolutely delicious. Although it isn't wheelchair accessible, as I am ambulatory my chair was folded and put near me. I would highly recommend this great coffee shop.

Fantastic little place in Barnard Castle. First time visiting the area and wow what a place to drop on for something to eat. Bought Curried goat to take away, it was mouth wateringly delicious, tender cooked goat with vegetables, rice and a tomato based salad. If at all I was to complain about anything it would be that a little more goat was in the portion......but im not complaining!!

I chose to visit here after reading others’ reviews and to get inside from very bad weather, we were very satisfied with our visit. The young waiter taking our order was very polite & sweet. I had the beetroot & feta sourdough toast with a side of sweet potato fries & plantain which were all delicious. Ryan was so lovely (Nobia’s son) very accommodating and friendly, he bakes all of the display cakes and we were lucky to try his beautiful jam & cream scones and I couldn’t resist the almond tart given as a birthday treat. This cafe actually saved my birthday from a wet miserable one. Thank you Ryan and your lovely staff :)

What a delightful little cafe/restaurant. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea, cakes etc. My wife and I visited three times in less than a week while we were visiting the area. Dog friendly and the owners and staff were more than accommodating. The Spiced Apple Scotch eggs were to die for, the best I’ve ever eaten. My wife highly recommends the Maple Lavender Latte and the vast selection of scones. We will be back next time time we are in the area John & Dorothy
