There are not very many places to eat in the area and we stopped in wild catch Cafe. We ordered the chowder which was very thick and creamy. It needed a little bit of seasoning. We also ordered the halibut and fries which was very good. And three of us had salmon burgers. They were done very well and had a good seasoning. If you're in the area I would not hesitate to eat there. It was a little pricey but well worth it.

Lovely place! I went there on Tuesday. I heard their salmon burger was a gem so I had to try it. Man, it did not disappoint me. They charged me $29 though, not the price on the menu. They claimed they used higher quality salmon. I don’t know what they normally use but the salmon I got on that day was great. My husband got a burger; he also loved it. Their buns were nice and soft. Ps. Salmon burger normally comes with pickles but I asked them to not add them

Cute, quaint cafe-style restaurant. We came for brunch. The food was good. We tried reindeer sausage and the three meat omelet. Took off a star because it was confusing to know where to order and where to sit. There’s seating in the back, but no signs for how to get there. Also, the only menu was written up on a chalkboard. It would be nice to have a menu with descriptions of each food (for example, what is in the three-meat omelet).

Happy tourist! Our group of 6 booked a glacier tour and didn’t leave much time between arriving in Whittier and boarding our boat. Even though food was available on the cruise I was craving substance and the Wild Catch Cafe did not disappoint. The service was quick and friendly and the food was hot and delicious. I enjoyed a cup of reindeer chili (tastes like beef chili but it’s leaner & higher in protein). I shared a salmon burger and fries with a friend (highly recommend). And I tasted my girl friend’s fried halibut. I’m not trying to be dramatic when I say it was life changing! I’m from Oklahoma and I’ve never experienced this fresh of fish. My only regret is that I live too far away to be a regular. Side note: they have a restroom so no need to walk in the cold to the public restroom on the corner.
